Question

I have a 1978 pontiac trans am with a 400 , the engine was just rebuilt, it has a edelbrockcam # 2157 ,headers,new holly 600,new plugs,wires and cap and rotor. the timing ia at 10 degrees. the spark plugs get filed out at idle. what should i look for.

Did your Cam Manuf. recommend the Timing?
Most 400's are around 16 - 18 degreesBTDC
If the Plugs are Fouling:
Be sure of Timing
Valve Adjustment
Check Spark
Carb may be over jetted.
Float Level may be to high.
