There are many different reasons for irregular periods ranging from hormones, stress, thyroid, fibroids, body weight. I suggest you go to your Gyn and get a exam. She can also run some lab work to see what is going on. Fibroids can cause the pain you are referring to but so could some other things. The only way to know for sure is to get examined. She may want to do an ultrasound too. I wouldn't worry about menopause that doesn't seem likely but she can check your hormone levels to let you know for sure. It is to soon to say if you would need a hysterectomy or not so please don't worry about that.
