What is wrong with my TV (i.e., Television)

This is a TV (not an autobile). It is a Sony KP-57HW40, Serial#9702340, chassis RA6, Build Date Sept. 2001.
At Turn On, convergance is way off. After 2 to three minutes, the screen goes berzirk for about 1 sec. After the 1 sec screen scramble, the screen begins to rapidly shift from left to right. It shifts so rapidly that the picture is un-viewable. This happens with all inputs; Cable, DVD, VCR, Laptop Computer, etc.

Again, the TV is a SONY KP-57HW40 57" rear projection TV. Serial # 9702340Ra6. Build Date: Sept. 2001.
