some one told me that i could bathe my dogs eyes in warm salty water as they get a bit gloopy sometimes is this true as i thought this would sting

Hi XXXXXXXXX,

You can flush your dogs eyes with a sterile saline solutions such as contact lens wearers use. Do not mix your own salt water as it will most likely have too high a salt contact and would not be sterile.

If the discharge is thick, yellow or green then that would indicate an infection such as conjunctivitis. I hope this information is helpful to you.
