Question

My keyswitch will not return to its original position to turn off the engine. I'm needing to disconnect the battery to get it to shut off, reconnect and engage the starter to start it. I've got the steering column loose, can observe the rods, but I need a diagram because I can't figure out what to do next. Anybody help?91 skylark automatic 2.5
