Question

how much should I give a 9 lb dog of gravizon to reduce tumor in mouth. She has a tumor and I read that Gravizon can shrink tumors in rats. I was hoping it may make her more confortable.

Answer

Hello, I have never heard to Gravizon being used to treat tumors in dog or cats. Tumors of the mouth should not be dealt with conservatively either as they tend to be aggressively moving tumors if left untreated. Your baby should really be seen by a vet to discuss possible removal of the tumor and possible testing to see how far or how advanced the tumor has spread. If the tumor is that large that your baby needs relief from the tumor it should be removed at the least to make her comformatable and prolong her life. Please be sure to let me know if you need anything else.

My baby has a very aggressive turmor and it is un operable. I have had her for almost 17 years. I found her under a car hood in Puerto Rico. She is all I care about. I was hoping it would give her some relief. I know it is not a cure. She is on antibotic and pain medicine. She has some good days and some bad where you can see she is not feeling well. I love her so much. I just wanted to try something that might give her some relief without making things worse. If you could try and give me a amount that might help I would appreciate.

Thank you so much.

XXXXXXX, I am sorry I have not been able to find any dosage information on the drug itself as they are still in trials to try and figure out what is going to be the best dose to use in dogs. I did however find a study that they are doing right now (a clinic study) in where they supply you with the gaviscon for free and give oyu instructions on how and when to use it. I am going to forward you the information and maybe this will help yopu get into a sudy that will ultimately help your baby feel better and live a little longer in comfort. Please be sure to let me know if I can do anything else for you.
