Question

Hi, folks. I am a 48 y.o. female. I have a long psychiatric hx. Major depression and severe anxiety, agoraphobia and general social anxiety and phobia have been major problems. I have had fugue states as well and even though I told my therapist I thought it was due to sleep deprivation due to variable and random shift work I was diagnosed with MPD (as it was called then, when it was all the rage). No energy, motivation, or joy. Suicide attempts x2 once w/ antifreeze. No suicidal or homicidal ideation now, though I do wish for PEACE. My current therapist (psychiatrist) and I are trying a regime for ADD and more than any other chemical regime, this seems to be helping. I sleep better, can focus better, and I thought I'd be bouncing off the walls and die of a stroke or heart attack in twelve minutes. Is it likely that I have had ADD all my life and it was misdiagnosed? (i'm not asking this to sue anyone; it just seems unlikely). I have a brother with similar sx. I know it's hard to dx .check okay?
