Question

I melted the starter by accidently reversing the polarity. I checked the wires changed the starter and have dual batteries witch are new. The ignition wire (12 gauge) coming from the cab to the starter had a terminal extension put on. I thought it could be a connection problem....na
It started once, I turn it off to tighten it's two new batteries, go back to turn it on and there's no power coming to anything,
Earlier The little f**ker had a sticky brake light problem which caused this whole matter, Is there a fuse or relay switch to change after frying the starter and wasting the batteries?
If I got the starter working once Did I install it correctly?
Could the other wires be fried? It's hard to tell when .
it's AC .
