Question

I was employeed at a hospital as a radiology tech, hired just out of college, everything was going fine, no write ups, no compliants, always willing to do extra shifts, called in last Tuesday and told that I had to be let go due to the fact of experience. I then find out from fellow RT that another student that just graduated was hired to take my position. I understand that this person has less experience than me, is this legal. If not, how can I fight this? If it is legal, is there anything I can do to keep this from happening to anyone else?
