Hi Oscar,
Thank you for your question.
Could you please supply me with the specific model number of your Maytag. This will help a lot.
Looking forward to your response.
Josh
Hi,
Thanks. I'm looking into it right now. May take a couple of minutes.
Thanks for your patience,
Thank you for waiting.
Well as I assumed, you more than likely have a problem with the control board. Unfortunately the Neptune washers have been plagued with these problems. Since you indicated that the washer remains in the "agitate" cycle when it should be in the "spin" cycle, this indicates a problem with the control board itself. This component is basically the brain of the washer, and controls all the aspects of the various cycles and components. If your washer was agitating and then it suddenly did nothing when calling for the "spin" cycle, then there are a couple of other areas that could have been explored. But unfortunately, I do not think these apply to your present circumstances.
This repair isn't cheap. The board itself will cost around $200 with labor added on top of that. If you are still under warranty, I would set up an appointment for service. If you are not still under warranty, then you should have a reputable repair person come out and test the circuitry involved to ascertain for sure this is your problem. But I am afraid you will find this to be your culprit.
I'm sorry I didn't have an easy solution for your question. But I do want to thank you and wish you all the best in getting your problem resolved.
