I have a young male mixed breed that I got from a rescue. I was told he was neutered, but he had mounted my female and stuck with her. I always believed that a neutered male could still perform, but not Stick or knot with the female.. Now I am concerned he isn't neutered.

Yes, they can tie with the female though they can NOT impregnate them. The tie is caused by an "organ" or gland called the bulbus glandis. :) Let me know if you need more information on this. :)
