FOR A FEW YEARS NOW WE HAVE HAD SUCH NICE GREEN AND YELLOW BEAN PLANTS AND THEN THEY GET A WHITE MOLD ON THEM AND DIE. WHAT CAUSES THIS AND WHAT CAN WE DO? ALSO WHAT CAUSES PLANTS TO BLOSSOMS WITH JUST A FLOWER AND NO VEG. ON THE END.

The fungus that causes the white mold disease of beans is called Sclerotinia sclerotiorum.
Successful control of white mold with fungicides depends upon spraying at the proper time and completely covering the plants with the chemical, especially inside the plant canopy. Applied in this way, benomyl has proved superior to other commercially available, registered fungicides.
