Question

I ran a half marathon about 2 years ago. During the marathon I got blisters under my toe nails and the following week the twoenails feel off (the big toe nail and the one right beside it) Since then, my big toe nail has grown back however only half of it sticks to my toe. The other half is always lifted and I am afraid to get fungus in it. The second toe nail only gorws half way and then stops. What should I do?

Accepted Answer

the swelling from the blister injured the nailbed and likely this needs to be repaired since its come back since abnormally. this is pretty common with toenail injuries. you need to see a podiatrist to reset the naibed, this may require removal of whats there.
good luck running from a fellow runner!
