have a 8 mth old male bengel....fixed and clean bill from vet 2 mths ago.....he started drooling today, sometimes is clear and sometimes looks like blood is in it....and it looks like he may have a small cut on the side of his mouth.....can't imagine if he got hold of a bug that did not agree with him or what....his breath also smells really bad....can ya help please....

Hi,

Excessive drooling and very bad breath usually indicates a dental problem like an abscessed tooth or gum infection. It can also signal liver or kidney problems or an intestinal upset, nausea or acid reflux.

If you see a small cut on the side of his mouth, he may have banged into something or ate a non-food or toxic item he wasn't supposed to.

I'd recommend a vet visit ASAP, to have him evaluated and treated. I hope he'll be fine.
