Dear scooper, in California, 32 hours is the number of hours that an employer may provide full time benefits. However, there is no requirement to do so.
This is because there is no requiredment to provide benefits at all, and the employer can assign benefits by policy related to number of hours worked and emplyoyee status.
Part timers and 3/4 timers are often given a bit more salary to compensate for not having benefits.
