When does it blow the fuse? Immediately when you install the fuse? or when you turn the blower switch on?

Also is this an automatic climate control system, or the good old fashioned-type?

Do you think it could be that the blower motor is bad?

OK Here's a wiring diagram to look at. Basically the A/C selector knob engages the relay which supplies power to the blower.. then the speed control knob selects which resistance circuit to apply through the resistor, which controls ground.

Now, since the blower motor is going to provide the resistance for the circuit, a problem on the ground side I don't think would blow the fuse, so that eliminates the entire circuit except the relay, the blower motor itself, and the wiring in between.

You need to unplug the blower motor and check the resistance between the brown/yellow wire to ground. If you don't get a resistance reading, this is good.. it means the wire and relay are good! In that case replace the blower motor.. the motor itself is probably going bad and pulling too much amperage.

Also a bad motor can burn up a resistor, so that could be why the resistor went bad.. just don't be surprised if it's bad again.

Good luck!
