Question

I have a 1999 towncar. 128,000 miles. I have a noise coming out of rear passenger wheel that I believe is a bearing. I there a rear wheel hub that you can replace or just replace the outer bearings. Also are these bearings pressed in and how to remove yoyrself.   Thanks Kevin

There is not a hub. You will have to remove the wheel and rotor and caliper. Then remove the differential cover and remove the pinion shaft bolt. Then remove the pinion shaft and remove the C-washer from the suspect axle and pull the axle out. The remove the axle seal. You will need a slide hammer and axle bearing puller to remove the bearing. Then to install it you can hammer it in with a large socket.
