Question

My question is: If it’s true that God is ALL knowing and ALL powerful, how do human beings ultimately have the freedom and control of the path we take in life? God knows every decision or direction as well as our final outcome before we’re even born. In knowing every choice we make before we make it how does that give us coplete control of our destination?

Answer

The omniscience and omnipotence that you take as premises
here would not affect human freedom of choice. The
omniscience would imply that God had knowledge of the choice,
and the omnipotence implies that God could require humans to
have a free will that coincides with God's desires.

Your second question is actually covered above, but to repeat,
just because God might be aware of what our choices might be
does not make them any less our choices.

Answer

Dear XXXXXXXXX,

As you stated above, before all human beings are born onto the physical Earth plane, we decide what lessons we wish to learn in this lifetime (what race we will be, what skin color we will have, what talents we'll possess, what religion we'll learn or not learn, who our parents will be, what jobs we'll hold, etc.). Those choices are left entirely up to us. Yes, even the fact of whether we will learn something in this lifetime or not is left up to us as well. God does not interfere in our collection of CHOICEs, but He does agree to help us maintain our goals (kind of like a teacher helping to keep the student on track with his/her homework assignment, which is what the life you are living now is--a homework assignment). What this means is that sometimes God will give us each a gentle prod or wakeup call to help us remember the path that WE have CHOSEN for ourselves and have asked Him, our guardian angels, and spirit guides to help us keep on track with when we reincarnate into physical form and forget some areas of the assignments we've chosen.

That being said, all of these choices are just a general template that we will follow throughout our lives--they are the framework that determines what kind of house (life) we'll build. Now here is the rub (problem)--when a soul transitions from a spiritual level to a physical level, we often forget some of the things we chose in the spiritual realms. Because of this, we often make slight deviations from our original plan of action (Basically, we make new choices.). Again they are our choices to make. God doesn't interfere with those choices, but He does honor the agreement we made with Him in the spiritual realms to help us keep on track with our original assignment that we came to Earth to learn. Through inspiration, nature, and other human beings, He makes His presence known to remind us of the path that WE had CHOSEN for ourselves.

If we choose to ignore God's messages and messengers at this point, then it is entirely our choice to do this if we wish. God isn't going to strike us down for having a will of our own or a change of heart about all previous agreements/choices.

Throughout our entire lives, the freedom of choice is ours. God, because he is all knowing and all powerful, knows all the possible choices that we could make (For every human being, there are thousands of possible futures available to them because each new choice leads to a new future outcome.). Knowing everything doesn't mean that God controls you in any way. It is just his nature to be everywhere at once because all time (all possible futures) and all creation and all dimensions are all part of God. He knows everything because he is everything.

He knows us as well because each of us are like the cells in God's much greater body. When we look at our body's cells, we realize that each follow a template, but ultimately we do not have control over each one of our cells. Even the ones that we think we can control (like our breathing) aren't always under our control. Such is the way with God. He is aware of us, the cells of his body, but he chooses not to control us. He lets us make our own choices of whether to add to the beauty of the whole (universal body) or whether we will chose to become cancerous (and embrace evil instead of love).

If God truly controlled human beings, then there would no longer be evil or hatred or war or famine, but there is. God may not like these things, but he knows that they are a necessary step in the evolution (growth) of humanity (his children). Like any good parent, God knows that if He takes away all of our decisions and choices, then we (his children) will never learn to stand up for ourselves and grow into the spiritual beings that we are.

Anyway, I hope that I've answered all your questions in a manner that was easy to understand.
