How can I find a electronic fence or safe fence without dog collars? I need a fence or a solution that goes outside of our present fence to prevent my dogs digging under it?

Answer

They do make electric fences that are for dogs. It would be better to put it inside of your regular fence. You would put it about a foot to a foot and a half away from the fence. The wire should be placed about 4 to 6 inches off he ground. By putting it in this area should keep your dog from digging out. Often when they have been shocked a couple of times they aren't as interested in digging. If they ignore the shocks you can attach a unti that is used for cattle which has a stronger charge. Many are adjustable so you can set it at a low setting to deter your dog from digging. If they go back to the same spots all the time you can set them up by putting some pepper in some balloons and bury them so that when they dig in those spots the balloons will pop and scare them from at spot. Its best to work inside the fence to keep them away from the fence so they don't have the opportunity to get out.
