Question

I recently moved and misplaced my skeleton keys to my antique secretary. Is there any way I can unlock the doors without the keys so that I can finish unpacking?

Accepted Answer

Forcing the door or drawers open to an antique piece of furniture is not advisable. You can probably locate a new skeleton key by visiting (call first) an antique store. Often they have a variety of skeleton keys around. Another place to check is a locksmith store. Often they have new skeleton keys for sale.
