Hi XXXXXXXX,

There are a few things you can do to remove blood stains from cotton fabric:

  • Rub the stain with hair shampoo or dish washing liquid. Once bubbles appear, apply a little cold water and scrub briskly. Do not add warm or hot water since this will make the blood set in further. Wash as usual.
  • Pour hydrogen peroxide on the stain and wait for it to bubble. Rinse with cold water.

If this is an older stain, you can soak it in cold water for about an hour before doing any of the treatments above.
