Dave, thank you for all that info. It's really helping me understand where currency is going. But, what I really want to know is how is the price of gold going to effect us. Isn't that what all currencies are valued by? And how much of it do we have as opposed to other countries?

Allow me to add my 2c worth to this question. No currencies are backed by gold in today's world.

So what's to stop our government from spending whatever they want and printing up more paper dollars (or creating more electronic dollars) to pay for whatever they feel like doing?
