Question
My father has been missing since Nov. 31,2006 and has a storage with his belongings, but it is in his mothers name(my grandma) and she is not letting me get his stuff out of there. She is basically putting me off.

Answer
If the storage unit is in your grandmothers name and not his then you have no legal rights to claim anything in it. If he is declared deceased at some point then yes you may well be able to claim items within storage. I suggest that you speak with your grandmother and determine her actual reasons for not wanting anyone to enter. If he has left and is not deceased she may well know where he is at and is waiting for his return. As long as she is on the lease then she has sole right to the storage of property.
