What does first lady engraved on my antique ring mean?

My boyfriend bought me an antique diamond ring that has the phrase "first lady" engraved on the inside along with 14K. The ring is .18ct total weight, yellow gold band, white gold illusion box setting around the main diamond. Just wondering what the heck "first lady" means? What year was the ring made and by what company? WAs "First lady" a series?

Reply to xarqi's Post: Thank you. I've been scouring the internet for answers to what it could possibly mean, and I did come across the link you gave me. You're right--it does look like there was a series of some sort, because my ring looks like it would fit perfectly with that ring that is pictured. Thank you for your help!

ps--I have followed xarqi's advice and emailed the company. All the woman knew about the ring is that first lady was a series of rings named for first ladies...but can anyone tell me what company made this series and when? Any info will be greatly appreciated.
