gangster era chicago history

i am a hobby reader of chicago’s gangster era history - is there any central resource that tells of the fate of various characters that were active in chicago during the roaring twenties? example - what became of joe fusco, al capone’s brewery supervisor? i have read in several books where he survived into the eighties but no firm information seems to be available regarding his current status - the same question would apply to several other people who were active during this era - any thoughts regarding this line of questions?
