Hi Mimi. Where is the father bird? Can you tell if he has been helping with the feedings? Is there only the one chick? If not, how many chicks total? If there are more than one, do you happen to know in which order this chick was hatched? Are you positive it is not being fed and how do you know for sure? How old are the parent birds and is this their first clutch? If you will tell me everything in the parent's diet, I'll help you figure out if you are feeding them the proper things so they are able to feed chicks. I'm asking you all this because the best possible thing is to try to get the parents to feed it, it it really is not being fed. If you are not already a very experienced hand feeder, it's not likely you would be able to feed it without choking it or causing it to aspirate the food. Do you know of any local birds breeders?
