i own a 72 monte carloand it wont start. my starter works and its turning the engine but the engine just wont turn on. what could the problem be and what can i do to fix it

Hey jerry You need to do some basic test are you handy with cars You should first check for spark and fuel You can look down carb and pump gas pedal to see fuel and you can check spark with extra spark plug Let me know if you are up to it and i will tell you how to do test
