approx 12 years old and he acts like this several days untill he got worse tonight. at 6 pm today he went out for bathroom for 15 minutes and he took a leak. he kept looking at me all the time and want me to do something about it.

When was his last bowel movement? Was it normal/hard/diarrhea?

I am not sure , as far I know it is normal.

I would be concerned with a heart issue because of his breed and his age but it could also be a number of things. I would try and get him to eat something bland like boiled chicken and white rice. Should his labored breathing continue or worsen tonight, I would have a vet check him tonight. Otherwise a vet visit tomorrow would be a good idea and possible x-rays to see whats going on with him.
