I think that I misspoke, mine is a female dog and I will answer your questions, she vomit twice during the night. She only eats roasted chicken. We use to walk her two to three times in a daily basis. She stopped eating even the chicken.

Answer

Hi Jaime,

Mickie asked me to help you with your baby.

The gas is most likely a yeast or bad bacteria build up. You can give her a teaspoon a day of plain yogurt. It contains acidophilus and will replace the "good" intestinal flora she nees to keep her colon healthy. Boiling the chicken is better than roasting for her. There are also home cooked recipes that you can try that will add some veggies to her diet. It is not likely that she will be anxious to eat dog food now that she is used to people meat but you can try www.petfooddirect.com for natural foods with no fillers.

Dogs can also have a quarter of a pepsid tablet to reduce gas and acid reflux. Or a teaspoon of pepto bismal to coat her GI tract.

Also try cottage cheese or boiled turkey or chop meat to give her a change.

Please let me know if you want the recipes for your baby and how she is feeling.I will be here all weekend to help further.

Very sincerely,

Terri

Terri:
Thank you for your response. Please send the recipes you mentioned above. I will be giving the yogurt and will keep you informed of the results.
Our main concern also is if we for some reason need to let her boarding, nobody is going to cook the food for her. One time I let her boarding at the Vet's clinic and she didn't want to eat the science diet they gave her.
Please advise when the time comes, what we should do.
Thank you,

Answer

Hi Jaime,

I do not blame her in the least for not wanting to eat science diet.Vets push it because they sell it but it is really an awful food - loaded with fillers like corn and gluten.

If you cook for your baby you can freeze it and suppy it if you board your baby. You can also use a bonded pet sitter service so your baby is not ever exposed to other (potentially sick) dogs at a boarding facility.

Very sincerely,

Terri
