What brand spark plugs, do you have a check engine light that has or does come on.

Is it a dead miss or just runs rough and misses somewhat

check engine light is on. Last week it was #4 misfire so we changed wires thinking problem was result of previous intake leaking antifreeze. Was fine for a day. now runing rough and missing with #5 miss fire code. Not sure about Type of plugs. But asked mechanic to use what Ford used from Factory.

Accepted Answer

If the intake was leaking coolant onto the plugs then they all would of needed to be replaced with motorcraft pugs. I suggest you get the codes pulled for the CEL. You also need to check the EGR ports on the intake. Also check for vacuum leaks around the intake and the vacuum and PCV hoses. You can spray the plug wires and the plugs and the coil while the vehicle is running. Use a spray bottle with water if the engine starts to run rough or rougher then the spark is getting out of the wires. It also would not be a bad idea to run some fuel injector cleaner through the tank.

Answer

I was just clarifing all were replaced with motorcraft. You need squeeze air fuel and fire to get combustion

squeeze= compression test

fire=plugs wires coil

air=not to little or to much regulated from MAF output signal

fuel not to little not to much reguleted with injectors
