If there was a will, it would probably have been admitted to probate....submitted to court in the county in which she lived when she died. The judge would have satisfied himself that the will was valid...witnessed properly, appointed the named executor who would have taken charge of assets, paid bills and then distributed assets per the will. The will and the entire estate file would be in that clerk's office and you could inspect it.
