twisted knee, felt a pop, cant put much pressure on it, dose not want to straighten, but will if done slowly.

I was standing upright and with leg straight and twisted, obvously to far. I was climing a tree and was trying to change my position.

There are a whole list of possible knee injuries here but the likeliest given the "pop" you report is a MCL (medial collateral ligament) tear. See the following link for a list of knee injuries; the second page discusses MCL in particular. The acute treatment, as described, is "RICE" (rest, ice, compression and elevation).

Keep in mind that while the history is suggestive of an MCL injury the results of an MRI (the usual diagnostic technique of choice) can often reveal other or additional injuries. However, assuming it is an MCL tear here is a link to possible outcomes/treatment:
