I was recently diagnosed with human HPV 2 Genital Herpes. Can I give this to my cat?

Answer

While cats and dogs can get a herpes virus infection they do not get the same ones that humans do.
We each have our own specially tailored herpes viruses that prefer us as hosts and can't survive in another species or at least not one closely related to us.
They are all called herpes virus as they have similar characteristics to them but what a cat might get and what people might get are really two different viruses. So no worries for your cat!
