Question

I gave birth 6 weeks ago. I wound up having a cesarean section after 2 hours of pushing. I now have a hard lump in the entranceway of my vaginal canal. What is this?

Reply to MasterDoc's Post: It is by the opening of the vaginal canal (low). It does not hurt when I touch it. It is the same color as the rest of the internal walls. Yes, I was asked to push and 2 hours later they realized that my pelvis was too small. I then had a cesarean section.

I'm a little surprised that it is not tender. I first thought it was a hematoma (the equivalent of a bruise) from pushing but that is less likely given you didn't see it until 4 weeks after childbirth. At this pint my leading possibility would be a bartholin's cyst. This is a swollen, blocked gland in that area. See the following link:
