is the 2.8l engine in a 1996 audi a4 the same type that is in a jetta vr6. if so can i put a turbo kit from the jetta on the audi, and what changes whould i have to make so that it will fit.

Answer

The 2.8 liter engine is a true v-6 engine with two seperate heads. the one in the jetta is the 15 degree v6, so they are two totally different engines so I doubt that much would fit without a lot of fabrication.

so i should just look for a turbo kit for the audi (know of any?) and not bother the jetta.

I dont know of any turbo kits for the older A4. There was a company making a supercharger kit for it, I dont know if they still do.You can check out the company that makes it by clickin here Most people go with the 1.8 turbo since there is so much more aftermarket support for it.
