Hi and welcome

Do you mean a lawsuit for money damages or a complaint to the state medical board?

Reply to Richard V. Licata's Post: Directly after two surgeries on the same foot I received negligent care resulting in permanent damage, peripherial neuropathy, frost bite on my toes, which could have resulted in lose of toes and no many other areas have been affected. I need emergency intervention two days after I saw the offending practioner and he simply made a referral to pain management group that couldn't see me for more than a month away. Both, I want to file a formal complaint and perhaps sue for damages, needless pain and suffering and I may be permanently impaired. For a hiker, that is not acceptable.

Answer

Hi,

Sorry for the situation you're in.

In your state capital, within the office of the Secretary of State, there will be a Podiatric Medical Board. File a formal complaint. Regarding the medical malpractice claim, it sounds like you have a good case. If you tell me the state and nearest large city where you live, I can send you a list of reputable medical malpractice specialists.
