Question

Have a 2002 Landrover discovery II (44,000 miles), noticed pink droplets underneath, towards the front (like pepto, not oily). Had oil changed and they said it was not tranmission or brake fluid. They noted that the leak was coming higher up where they could not get to it..is it from the gearbox?(I've had problems with this recently) or a/c?? Help! Would like to know a little something before I take it to a shop.

Hi, welcome to jA.

  • Has the coolant level been checked?
  • Has the cooling system been pressure tested?
  • How long ago (in miles) did the gear box get repaired?
