Question

My daughter just ate something that is making her cheeks and lips tingle; she claims it feels kind of num. I gave her a Claritan pill. What else should I do?

Answer

I would have opted for benadryl only because it is faster acting. If she continues to tell you shes tingling and you or her see any swelling take her to the ER immediatly. If you have benadryl on hand go ahead and give her a dose.
