Question

I have a F-250 4x4 - V-10 and it has 160-k miles. THe service engine soon light came on over the weekend.. I have just changed oil and filters and also replaced the all the frontend hub bearings on the X XXXXX XXXXX. what would cause the light to stay on ????

The light will come on when one of the many sensors sends a signal to the computer that something is wrong.

You will need to have the computer scanned for the diagnostic codes that will have been stored in the computers memory. Autozone and other parts stores will perform this scan for free and give you recomendations and the service codes needed to perform a diagnostic check. You can then find the problem area and find the reason it is coming on. And if you like, you can post the codes here and we will look them up for you and tell you the reason(s) it is coming on.
