Answer
In
North Carolina annualments
(see section 4 of link) are specifically limited to certain specific circumstances. These circumstances are:
1) All marriages between any two persons nearer of kin than first cousins,
2) Marriages first cousins,
3) Marriages between persons either of whom is under sixteen years of age,
4) Marriages between persons either of whom has a spouse living at the time of the marriage,
5) Marriages between persons either of whom is at the time physically impotent, or between persons either of whom is at the time incapable of understanding the marriage vows.
6) A marriage contracted under the belief that the wife is pregnant, followed by the separation of the parties within 45 days of the marriage, which separation was continuous for a period of one year, shall be annulled unless a child was born to the parties within ten months of the date of separation.
Regarding your second question. Property which you had before your second marriage is treated as your separate property and any contributions to your vehicle can be reimbursed to your spouse. He might argue that his contributions had made the vehicle as a marital asset, but the court's are likely to only reimburse for the expenses he has contributed to it.
