Hello. If you are talking about one of those "mite protectors" get if off the cage immediately and put in in the trash. Those are very dangerous. You might as well have your bird breathing moth balls and insecticide. It should be against the law to even sell those things. How long ago did the eye problem start? Is this a lone bird or does she have any cage mates. How long have you had her and did she come from a pet store? Is she your first experience with parrots? Please tell me everything she gets to eat. Have you seen her sitting with her feathers fluffed or sitting on the cage floor instead of using the perches? Have you seen any change in the appearance of her droppings? What kind of perches does she have? What else is in her cage besides her bowls and her perches? What kind of cage bottom liner are you using? Is she ever allowed outside her cage? This extra information is needed so I can give you my best advice. Thanks, Patricia
