Question

I took my horse hunting last wednesday and she fell over when she got up she was sound but i took her home. the next day she pulled out her box very stiff i put her on box rest and walked her round the yard every hour she started to improve so i took her for a walk on monday she doent seem to be in any discomfort but she is dropping her right hip what could this mean and what should i do thank you

Answer

I would continue with box rest and short walks to see if it is a simple muscle strain. Try to do stretches prior to her walks. If you don't see any improvement within the next 2 weeks, consider having xrays done.
