Yes. A tubal pregnancy can make you have back pain, stomach pain, and feel sick.
A tubal pregnancy occurs when a fertilized ovum implants in the fallopian tube. An ectopic (tubal pregnancy) is usually due to prior tubal/genital infection or surgery, fallopian anatomic abnormalities, or endometrial abnormalities. If you have had a previous ectopic pregnancy then you are at risk for another ectopic pregnancy and if you are taking fertility drugs then you are at risk of an ectopic pregnancy.
Symptoms of a tubal or ectopic pregnancy include:
I recommend you have an ultrasound if you think you might have a tubal pregnancy.
An unruptured tubal pregnancy of less than 4 mm is treated by laparoscopic salpingostomy.
Folex or PFS are medications used to treat an unruptured tubal pregnancy
An indeterminate ultrasound result should be worked-up even if you have low beta-HCG levels. An ectopic pregnancy with a beta HCG level of less than 1,000 may have ruptured.
