My Yorkie is only four years old. This morning she started vomiting yellow liquid, but only once. When I came home from work she refused to go outside and when I took her out she stood in one place, not moving with her head down and her tail tucked between her legs. I brought her back in. She was extremely warm on her stomach. She is eating nothing but is drinking some. She lies down and is very lethargic. No interest in anything. I also noticed she half squats on her two back legs when standing. She just vomited again - thin yellow liquid. What might be wrong with her? She is usually very active and lively.

Is is possible she swallowed a non food item or a rawhide piece?

Reply to Jane Lefler's Post: She has not had a bowel movement. She does not get rawhide bones, but she does get chicken jerky (for dogs) and ground greenies. This is so unlike her - she is so listless.

The position you describe her standing in is consistant with abdominal pain. With her vomiting, not having a bowel movement, abdominal pain, and lethargy, I'm worried about an obstruction. Obstructions can be very dangerous. I'd take her in and have the Vet check her for an obstruction.
