Question

How do you deal with noisy neighbors in an apartment that has thin walls and you can hear things you'd rather not in the evenings. I've complained to the leasing office a few times and left a note on their door about loud music. The man who lives with his wife next door seems to have a short temper and yells at her. So I opted not to confront them in person. I don't want to seem uptight but doing something as simple as moving the bed to another part of the bedroom that does'nt share mine seems like a reasonable request,

Answer

Hello,

I agree, confronting the man may only lead to a more stressful situation.

I would write a letter to the leasing office rather than calling. This would have more of an impact on having your concern addressed.

If it is after 10pm and there is loud music, you could call the police.
