Reply to Vicky B's Post: Thank you Vicky, The lady who told me about it said that it one was made of wood and one was silver. It's like the kind you put on thur a opening in the back and by squeezing it you can adjust it. When you move your wrist, it makes a sound like the bamboo shoots that when you turn them upside down you hear the faint sound of the rainforrest. She said it was in a Govt. bldg. In a mall called selkirk mall, in vancouver, canada. I don't beleive there was any writing. Thank you ,Customer (name blocked for privacy) in Hawaii.

I'm sorry but I am not finding any mall by the name of Selkirk in Vancouver. I've searched the official websites for the city of Vancouver as well as the state of British Columbia. I've also searched the Canadian Yellow Pages and there is no mall by the name of Selkirk or on a street named Selkirk listed. I've also searched for goverment buildings on a street named Selkirk and cannot find a listing.

If there is any other information you can provide, it may be helpful.

I tried again this morning searching the SuperPages.CA for the terms "shopping malls" in Vancouver. It turned up 6 pages but none of them listed Selkirk as a mall name or street. I also searched using "Selkirk" and Vancouver but it did not turn up any shopping centers.

This website lists all the malls in Canada: List of Shopping Malls in Canada . Pretty incredible. I guess someone who really loves to shop put that list together! There is no listing of a Selkirk Mall.

I did find mention of a Selkirk Mall in connection with a hockey team in Selkirk, Manitoba. But that is not Vancouver.

I also did a search for rainforest bracelets, rainstick bracelets and bamboo bracelets. I didn't find anything that resembled what you are describing except for some magnetic sliver bamboo bracelets and a very expensive silver plated bamboo bracelet that is made by a jewelry artist. It didn't say anything about making any sounds. I also searched using the terms rainforest cuff bracelet, rainstick cuff bracelet, and bamboo cuff bracelet.

Maybe your friend remembers the name of the branch of government the building housed?

I'm sorry the bracelet seems to be very elusive!
