Hello Customer (name blocked for privacy),

I have researched this question thoroughly and what I have discovered is the Friedel name is related the the ever so popular Hummel figurines. Just an educated guess but it seems that the Hummel charactars are now being painted by other artists than the originals were, one of those artists is Friedel and another is Berta.

Friedel, has no connection to Hummel, by artists or modelers

Fiedel production was started 100 years before Hummel,

I HAD THE FULL INFO, WHICH I GOT FROM JEEVES,

( Before it started to charge ) but was lost in pc upgrade,

as I am not in a rush to get the information back,

I will request my payment returned, and if you manage to find what I am looking for
Will re-submit the payment,

Hello Again,

Well after researching for several hours I have still come up totally empty handed. Ask Jeeves.com no longer exists and is now ask.com. I searched there and all I have found are listings for purchase of the figurines. Do you know the artitst's first name? This is truly the first question I have attempted to answer and have come up with no results. My apologies to you that I could not be more helpful.

Reply to Christine F's Post: thanks for your efforts to find it,
as I said, the friedel company started arround 100 years before goebel/hummel.
I have been collecting friedel for a few years now, but as the older one never come up for sale,
my collection starts from the early 1910/20
but aia have now changed my direction,
started on Beswick animals and birds,
because of this I decided to auction my friedels,
thats when I discovered I had lost my info,
so I shall have to-be careful of what I say about them,if you would like to see some currently listed, google, QCPOTS, it should give my ebid listings, 8 on just now, another 22 to go on if there is an interest,
many thanks bilko.
