Hello,
The most common causes for green stool & poop can be attributed to reasons such as
1) ILLNESS: Some people may experience runny green stools when they have diarrhea , intestinal infection, inflammatory bowel disease.
2) FOOD DIET: The foods we consume can dictate having very dark to light colored green stool. This usually happens when there is an overconsumption of specific "green" foods that include: green leafy vegetables such as lettuce, broccoli, spinach, peas, green peppers, etc. Foods that are highly processed such as desserts, cookies, food coloring foods, and drink mixtures also needs to be ruled out. Consuming foods that are high in iron can also cause green stool in your bowel movements because the body simply doesn't have the ability to absorb excess iron, thus the body compenstates by excreting iron salts that give the stool a shade of green.
So, the answer of your question is yes, these can cause the change.
