Click here and here for easy to understand information on getting your book published. The most important point to remember when looking for a publisher is that money flows to the author, not the other way around. This will help protect you from unscrupulous companies that would like to empty your wallet, in exchange for publishing your book, with no guarantee that it would ever be on shelves of bookstores.

While you can find online editing services, the better way to go about getting your book edited is to look for volunteers among family and friends. This is obviously the least expensive way to get your book edited, and is not a bad alternative considering that the publishing house you are submitting to will take care of editing the book before publishing. What you need is to get your book polished for submission, not perfect for publishing.

You can always request a Just Answer expert to edit your book for you, and name your own price. Most online editing services will give you an estimate upfront, so be sure to find out how much they charge before you agree to use their services.
