how do i fix a kenmore sewing machine skipping stiches

I have the correct needle size. I have reset needle several times. I have attempted adjusting tension. It does not matter what type of fabric it skips stitches on all types.

Reply to Shelia's Post: I thank-you for your time but I have threaded and rethreaded machine. Replaced needle . Tried new needle size. i believe through further investigaiton the hook timing is off. I do not believe there is a way to fix this at home I found helpful information at site below
